Will SOMEONE please go tell Barry that he isn't supposed to be bowing to leaders of other countries? Every time he heads out of town he makes an idiot out of himself. I'm sorry, but I'm just sick of it.
The leader of the free world should NOT be doing THIS!
(Image blatantly stolen from Gateway Pundit - thanks, y'all!)
By the way, that's the Japanese Emperor he's bowing to. Y'know, the country that we nuked in order to end WWII. Watch as this Japanese reporter asks if that was the right decision, and tell me if you think he answered the question. (Here's a hint - NO HE DOESN'T)
Today marks the 20 year anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Here's an excerpt of a speech from a GREAT American President.
Today there is much celebration in Germany. Leaders from around the world will be there, all in support of the freedoms that have been enjoyed over the past 20 years. And guess what? Obama ain't goin'
Y'know, I have minced words and tried to show respect for the Office of the President of the United States, because that's how I was raised and what we, as Americans, are supposed to do. I am so done with that.
To Barry - you are an idiot. You have slapped out founding fathers in the face, you have trampled the Constitution, and now you have given freedom, as well as the German people, the finger. The fact that you think it is more important to "prepare for a trip" than it is to show up in Germany for a few hours should let the entire world know what you are made of. Communist, socialist, disrespectful, anti-American MUSH. HOW DARE YOU.
Since I have friends in that country, I have an overwhelming desire to apologize to the German people. I am sorry that our President thinks so little of one of the greatest moments in your history, and I wish I could explain it, but I cannot. The confusion you must have over the supposed "leader of the free world" NOT being at your holiday is completely understandable, and his absence is inexcusable. I know I am not alone when I say I am deeply sorry that this disrespect to your country has occurred.
But! Congratulations on this amazing day. I grew up during the cold war era, and I can't imagine how it must feel to be my age and celebrating 20 years of freedom. It must be beautiful! :)
So I have been asked about my position of gay marriage. Again. I thought I was pretty clear on this one...but I shall review.
I DON'T CARE!!
Now, why would I say such a thing? Hang on, and I shall explain. (But you already knew that, right?)
Here's the deal. We have a POTUS who is dead set on "fundamentally changing" our great Nation, and not in a good way. We have a House of Representatives (waiting to see about the Senate) that could care less about the will of We the People. There's a gazillion czars working in the White House that are not only un-Constitutional, but so far on the radical left that they are basically forming an oligarchy right under our noses. Our founding fathers are rolling over in their graves at what is going on in DC, and the republic they created has grown beyond their wildest dreams into something altogether different than what they intended.
In the overall scheme of things, I could care less if someone wanted to marry a cat. Let's face it, if we lose any more freedom, gay marriage will be the LAST thing anyone cares about.
In a previous post, I sent out an invitation to candidates to be interviewed on this here bloggy thing. I gotta tell y'all, I am happy with the response so far. I have had 12 responses via email, and will be posting those interviews in the weeks to come. And, by the way, the invitation is still open. :)
Anyway, that leads us to The One Thing for this week.
As a voter, what is the one thing that you would ask a candidate that might help you to decide your vote?
Seeing as how there are some elections coming up next year, I am offering an open invitation to candidates for interviews on this here pink blog. :)
I have already spoken with several folks running for state representative right here in Kentucky, and most of those posts will be coming up after the first of the year. Many of you already know that I was privileged enough to speak with Dr. Rand Paul at the Fancy Farm Picnic some time ago, and I will be hosting conversation with some other conservative Commonwealth candidates next week.
While this invitation may not reach past my conservative reader base, I am open to interviewing candidates from all points of the political spectrum. If I cannot meet with you in person, I will be happy to email or phone you. I truly believe that the upcoming 2010 elections are going to be a turning point for our country, and voters need to be well-informed on their choices.
So, if you are running for office, or know of someone that has tossed their name onto a ballot, and would like to participate, please leave a comment or send me an email. The addy is over there -->
I am just a girl, not a Democrat, not a Republican, just an American! I do not believe that Government should control our lives, but that we, as the citizens of the United States of America, should control the Government. The Constitution and Declaration of Independence should be upheld at all costs, not for my generation, but for my children's children. As a mom, an artist, and a friend to animals, I truly care about others, and want to see every person be able to reach their full potential, without the constraints of a tyrannical government.
